As part of our service at Pixels&Noise, we always spend atleast an hour on the phone with our potential new clients to discuss their requirements, where they are currently, what their marketing activity looks like, their website etc…
I was speaking to a potential new client a few days ago… Really nice guy, the company is great and I believe we can do some great things for them.
BUT… Its when you start digging deeper that you really come across some quite astonishing things. I asked one simple question… “Where does your traffic come from right now, and what do you do to monitor it?”…
His reply.. “I dont know, we’ve never really bothered to look at it…”
Cue ghasping face! 😱
This poor guy doesnt even know if he’s actually getting any traffic to the website he wants to promote, or where the traffic he actually is getting is coming from! I have potentially just landed a deal with this company, purely for looking at the basics and going through what should be done to maximise opportunities!

The above will help you to really start tracking the activity on your website, know where the traffic is coming from, allow you to create trackable UTM links to pass data to Google Analytics and start to capitalise on the traffic you are getting without over-complicating things…
